Emirates offers pre-approved visa on arrival for Indian travellers to Dubai

Dubai: Indian passport holders who fly with Emirates can now enjoy a hassle-free entry to Dubai, thanks to a new pre-approved visa on arrival service launched by the airline.

The service, which is a result of a collaboration between Emirates and VFS Global, allows eligible Indian travellers to skip the long queues at the airport and get their 14-day single entry visa issued by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre.

To avail the service, Indian passport holders need to have a valid six-month visa for US, EU or UK residency and book their travel on Emirates directly from the airline or through their preferred travel agent.

The service is subject to the approval of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) and is exclusive to Emirates customers.

Dubai is a popular destination for Indian travellers, who can enjoy a variety of attractions, activities and accommodation options that suit their preferences and budgets.

Dubai is also home to a large and vibrant Indian community that hosts and welcomes visitors from India and around the world.

According to Dubai Tourism statistics, Dubai received 2 million overnight visitors from India between January to October 2023, making India the top source market for the emirate.

Emirates operates 167 weekly flights to nine destinations in India, connecting travellers to Dubai and beyond to more than 140 destinations across the globe.
